VIN - Vulval Intraepithelial Neoplasia

There has been a lot of media interest in the national newspapers about the proposal to vaccinate teenage girls for the HPV virus. Certain strains of the virus are responsible for cervical cancer.  However, there is very little information for a pre-cancerous condition that is also a product of the HPV virus - VIN.

VHAC is very concerned at the lack of information and support for women who have VIN. VIN can affect young women under the age of 40 and VHAC is launching a support initiative and will be working with a major UK research team to provide information. Please visit this page regularly for updates.

If you are a woman with VIN, there is a forum board on this site and also you can email VHAC or speak to Fabia at the Vulval Helpline.
